The visitors center of Storybook Land features a gift shop offers Storybook Land and Land of Oz souvenirs and other gifts of interest to park visitors.
Concessions & Picnic Area
A concession stand also offers a wide variety of food selections and snacks and an indoor seating area provides park visitors a comfortable indoor seating area to relax on days when the weather is uncomfortable. An outdoor picnic patio with large umbrellas provides shade for the park visitor.
Visitor Information Area
A visitor information area managed by the Aberdeen Convention and Visitor Bureau provides tourist and visitor information primarily on the Aberdeen area and Northeast Glacial Lakes, as well as major points of interest in South Dakota. Fully handicapped-accessible modern restroom facilities are available in the visitor center.
Hours of Operation
The Visitor Center is open daily from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm during the summer (from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend). Hours vary in the spring and fall.
Visitor Center Meeting/Party Rooms
The meeting/party rooms are part of the Visitor Center facility. There are two meeting/party rooms which will accommodate up to 30 people in each room. There is a divider wall between the two rooms which can be removed to expand to one larger room. General Rental Information.

Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis and can be made for the Visitor Center Meeting/Party Rooms beginning the first Monday in January for the current year of your requested reservation. Reservations can be made by calling the Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department office at (605) 626-7015 or make a reservation in person at 225 SE Third Avenue, Aberdeen, SD 57401.
