Downloadable eBooks and Audio Books

Overdrive


The Alexander Mitchell Public Library has expanded its services to include free eBooks and Audio Books.  Library card holders can check out and download digital media anytime, anywhere. Users may browse the library’s OverDrive collection, check out titles with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, iPads, Androids, and most mobile devices and tablets. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go. Titles will automatically expire at the end of the lending period. There are no late fees!

Axis 360 Digital Media Library


The Alexander Mitchell Public Library brings enhanced digital services to patrons through Baker & Taylor’s Innovative Axis 360 Digital Media Library. Axis 360 digital library will provide another ebook collection for easy check-out and downloading on multiple devices.

A link on the library’s homepage as well, as the below graphic, provides access to the new ebook collection along with tutorials and videos. Patrons will need an active library card to access the ebooks just as they do with the current Overdrive ebooks. The Public Library offers classes and one-on-one instruction for eReaders.
