Explorer’s Post 120
History of the Program
Aberdeen Fire Rescue personnel created an Explorer Program in 2008 for kids ages 14-21 years old who are interested in pursuing a career in either firefighting or emergency medical services.

Purpose
The Explorer Program, in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America, provides kids with basic knowledge and tools to decide if this is the right career path for them.

Explorers work closely and safely with Aberdeen Fire Rescue personnel and are required to strictly adhere to the Aberdeen Fire Rescue explorer’s standard operating guidelines as well as the Aberdeen Fire Rescue standard operation guidelines.
