Storybook Land Arts Activities
A wide variety of Storybook Land activities in the arts are scheduled during June, July, and early August at the Storybook Land castle in Wylie Park.

Fables and Fairy Tales
Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department and the Alexander Mitchell Public Library sponsor special storytimes geared for children ages 3 to 7 in the Storybook Land Castle at Wylie Park.  Storytimes include a variety of stories and folk tales as well as songs and arts and crafts activities.  "Fables and Fairy Tales" are held on Fridays during June and July and will begin at 10:00 am and last approximately 40 minutes.

Storybook Land Theatre and Performances
The national award-winning Storybook Land Theatre Company presents free performances each week June 18- August 2, 2013. Performances are Tuesdays at 10am, Wednesdays at 7pm and Fridays at 7pm at the Storybook Land Castle in Wylie Park. There will be a special performance on Thursday, July 4, 2012 at 5pm.


Family Fun Weekend










Family Fun Weekend will be held at Wylie Park, Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9, 2013.  Events include a Kid's Fishing Contest, Sand Castle/Sculpture building contest and a watermelon feed.

Storybook Land Festival
The sixth annual Storybook Land Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27, 2013, in Storybook Land in Wylie Park.  There is no admission charge for the Storybook Land Festival that features published children's authors, storytellers, entertainment and hands-on arts and crafts activities.  For more information on the schedule of events, select the above link.
