Practice for the softball season begins Monday, June 2. Games begin June 10, and the season runs for eight weeks.
A, B, and C League games are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Practices is on Mondays and Wednesdays. Game / practice times are as follows:
Participants must be entering the third grade in the fall of 2014 to begin in the program.
All equipment is provided except for personal items (i.e., gloves, caps, and shoes). Players may not wear steel cleats. Rubber-soled turf shoes are allowed.
There is a $30 fee for softball to be paid at the time of registration. A $3 late fee will be added after May 21. Receive a 20% discount by registering on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 8 am to 1 pm.
Softball Uniform Distribution
Youth softball players are instructed to stop in to the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center, located at 225 Third Avenue SE, during the following days at the designated time for their league, or at open times, and receive their softball uniforms.

- 11:00 am - 12:00 noon: A / B Leagues
- 12:00 noon - 2:00 pm: C League / Open (any player)
- 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Open (any player)

Petition to Move a Level Up

The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department has developed a petition process whereby a youth, with parental consent, may request to move up one level in the baseball / softball program. Petition applications for moving up may be picked up at the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry office at 225 Third Avenue SE.
The deadline for submitting requests is Friday, April 25, if you plan to register on Saturday, May 3 (Special Registration Day). Otherwise, the last day for submitting requests is Friday, May 2. Youth who
will be in third grade Peewee League may also petition up to the baseball / softball program.
