Fairy Garden Workshop
The fairies in your garden will love having their very own miniature garden! The Public Library will be having a Fairy Garden workshop, Thursday, April 28th, 6:30-8:30 PM. $5 per small garden and $10 for large garden. THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL.  Next workshop will be Thursday, May 12th at 6:30-8:30 PM. Registration is open and ready for this session. All WAITLIST registrations for previous workshop will automatically be registered for the May session.  Please bring in your registration fee is received to the Public Library. If you have any questions, please contact the Public Library. The Public Library will provide everything you need, including several container options, soil mix, a variety of suitable miniature plants, and a selection of miniature garden accessories.

You are welcome to bring your own container, if you have something special you would like to make your fairy garden in but the fee is still required.


Calling LOGO-COOKING.jpgall people who love to talk about food-home cooks and self-proclaimed foodies of all experience levels! The Public Library has started a Cooking Club.  This unique club will provide you with the outlet to share this love with people who have the exact same passion. No more need to talk endlessly about the intricacies of food to a bewildered spouse or family member; use the club to get this out of your system!  This club meets September through May.

Trivia TuesdayTrivia Tuesday!! 
Trivia Tuesday meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month, September thrugh May. This fun family program takes place at the Public Library, downstairs in the meeting rooms. Refreshments will be provided.

Community members choose their own teams of 3-5 people, who can range from family members to coworkers to singles groups. Individuals may register for Trivia Tuesday and will be assigned a team before game-play.

From working together on tough questions to joking with other teams, team members bond with each other and other teams to create a fun, stimulating environment filled with friendly competition. Everyone has fun at Trivia Night!

Summer Library Programs

Walking Books (Book Club)

Ages: Adults of all abilities and exercise levels
Date: Wednesdays, June 1-July 27th
Time: 10:00-10:30AM and 5:30-6:00 PM

This is a book club for readers who want to get moving and for walkers who love to read. Walkers will meet at the Public Library and enjoy a walk around the library neighborhood for 20-30 minutes. This unique book club is a great opportunity to find new authors, meet new people and experience the health benefits of regular walking. No pre-registration required. Each participant will be entered into a weekly prize drawing.

 Gaelic Guitarist Concert-Jerry Barlow
Date: Tuesday, June 14th
Time: 6:30 PM

  Barlow is a warm, accessible performer and storyteller. His unique and skillfully delivered repertoire incorporates favorite traditional pieces as well as his own Celtic-inspired compositions.

Paint Escape
Date:  Tuesday, June 21st
Time:  6:30-8:30 PM
  


Social artwork at its finest!  Tickets are $12 per person.  Paint Escape is a program designed to start with a trendy canvas art pattern and all the supplies and after a few hours of laughter and fun, everyone will leave with a work of art that they created themselves. No prior artistic skill/talent required...it's that easy!


Smithsonian "Remembers When" Music Concert

Date: Wednesday, July 6th     
Time: 6:30 PM


Bob and Sheila Everhart, creators of the "Traveling Museum of Music" & "A History of America's Rural Music," & their newest program "The Smithsonian Remembers When," will be performing at the Public Library.


 

Available Book Clubs

The Public Library organizes the following book clubs for the general public:

    Book Club in a Bag
    Library patrons can check out all the materials needed to start their own book club or discussion. Each bag will contain several copies of a book, reading guides, discussion questions, etc. Book club bags can be checked out on your library card.
