ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSES
Registration for all Classes begins the Monday January 5th at 8am. Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. EXTREME PAINTING – NEW!
Learn how to make paintings in different and
interesting ways. Paint with watercolor, kool-aid
and milk to achieve different looks. Ages 7-10.

PARENT/CHILD WHEEL THROWN
POTTERY CLASS

Learn how to throw pots on a potter’s wheel together
with one of your favorite people! Class size will be
limited to 4 pairs for individualized attention. Three
weeks are devoted to working on the wheel; the last
week will be spent glazing your creations. Come to
class prepared to get dirty. For children in grades 2
and up with parent/guardian.

POTTERY PALS
Kids ages 6 to 14 and their adult partner work
together on projects using earthenware clay and
low fire glazes. This is a great opportunity to
spend time together while sharing a new hobby
and plenty of fun memories. Ages: 6-14 with adult.

MORE THAN JUST MUSIC –
ON MY WAY WITH MUSICAL SKILLS

Put down roots into the fundamental concepts
of musicianship through methods such as Orff,
Kodaly, and Dalcroze that incorporate movement,
creative expression, and social interaction. Start
to develop listening, singing, and improvisation
abilities. Gain introduction to musical terms and
notation, too. The experience will lead to groundbreaking
progress on any instrument. Ages: 4-7.

CAST PAPER SCULPTURE - NEW!
This class will give you an understanding of how
some artists make casts for paper sculpture. We’ll
use earthenware clay to create a mold, then make
paper casts from each mold. When the cast is dry,
we can paint our creations or decorate them with
beads, bangles, and a variety of other odds and
ends! Ages 6-12

PHOTOGRAPHY FOR KIDS
Bring your digital camera to class and learn how to

DECORATING EASTER EGGS
Forget the mess of dyeing Easter Eggs at home –
come to the ARCC to dye eggs, batik eggs, make
egg characters, add embellishments, and other
fun ways to make colorful eggs for your holiday!
Each child will do approximately one dozen
colorful decorated hard-boiled eggs. Ages 4-12.
