WYLIE PARK CAMPGROUND EXPANSION PLANNED A campground expansion master plan has been approved by the Aberdeen Park and Recreation Board which when fully developed, will add 106 RV sites, 33 cabins and two new tenting areas. The expansion area will also provide two new shower restroom facilities along with a great lawn area which will be available to campers for recreational activities. The estimated cost to fully expand the campground is $4.5 million. The master plan was developed so expansion can be accomplished in three phases. If approved by the City Council, the first phase of expansion is scheduled to begin in 2010 with development of area “B”. Expansion will include adding 25 RV sites, 1 or 2 cabins, a tenting area and one restroom shower building. The budget for the first phase of expansion is $900,000.
