Shelter Rental
|
The Aquatic Center Picnic Shelter is available for rent
daily Monday through Friday, 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 5:30 p.m. to 8:30
p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to
7:30 p.m. at a rental fee of $34 plus tax. The rental fee for using
the shelter all day for both rental periods is $68 plus tax. Facility
reservations can be made at the Parks and Recreation office or the Aquatic
Center during regular operating hours. All individuals entering
the aquatic center to attend the event at the picnic shelter will be
assessed the admission fees regardless if they enter the water or not.
Those individuals or families who have purchased a season pass will not
have to pay the daily admission fee. Rental parties will be allowed to
bring in food and beverages for their event such as a birthday party,
family reunion, company picnic, etc. but the food and beverages must be
restricted to the rental shelter area.

Facility
Overview:

The
entire family will enjoy the Aberdeen Aquatic Center. The aquatic
center includes many
|
|
exciting
features such as a 50 meter, 8 lane lap pool with a one meter and three
meter diving
|
|
board, a
drop slide, and a variety of floatable play features. The 9000 square
foot leisure
|
|
pool with
a zero depth entry includes a multi-level play structure with waterslides
and
|
|
|
interactive
features that dump, spill and squirt water. The aquatic center also
features a 30
|
|
foot tall
waterslide tower with a 280 foot long raft slide, a 215 foot long body
flume slide and
|
|
a 125
foot long enclosed body flume slide that will provide fast and exhilarating
rides. The
|
|
300 foot
long lazy river is also a family favorite. The aquatic center
provides an ample supply
|
|
of turf
and deck area with plenty of room to relax and enjoy a day at the
pool. The aquatic
|
|
center is
located at the intersection of 10th Avenue southeast and Dakota
Street. The
|
|
aquatic
center opens in late May
|
