Wylie Campground Registration Building

The Campground Registration Building features a 2,500 square foot building with a spacious lobby and registration area along with a sales area for camping supplies, food and snack items and souvenirs. 

There is a laundry room with six washers and dryers. 

Internet access is provided to campers at no charge to check their email. 

A 500 square foot meeting room will be available for rent to host special gatherings of campground patrons. The rental rate for the meeting room will be $40 per time block (10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.). A new addition to the building is the outdoor patio on the back with a privacy fence. The rental of the meeting room would include the use of the outdoor patio.

In 2010, a three bedroom cabin is available for rent which includes a kitchen and living room area.  The cabin will rent for $150 per night for 8 people.  The cabin sleeps up to 12 people.  The additional fee for over 8 people is $15 per person.  Appliances include range, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and coffeemaker.  Supplies including paper towels, kitchen utensils, (pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils) and garbage bags are also provided.  Furnishings are provided.  Linens and towels are not included.  Check out time is 11 a.m. and check in time is 3 p.m.  No smoking permitted.  Pets are not permitted in the cabin.  One bathroom is available on the main floor.  The main floor is handicap accessible, but basement and restroom are not handicap accessible.  Cable TV and Internet provided.  Garage is not available for parking vehicles. There will be several picnic tables available in the garage.  There is a lawn area available in the back yard with a fire ring, barbeque grill and several picnic tables.  Rental parties will be issued keys when they check in.

These cozy cabins appeal to a wide range of campers who are looking for an outdoor adventure vacation or relaxing weekend retreat. The basic one-room log cabin, equipped with a double bed and a bunk bed, will accommodate a family of four. Each bed has a mattress so that all you need to supply is a pillow and bedding, or just bring along sleeping bags and you're set for a comfortable night's sleep out of the elements. Between September 15 and May 15, reservations will be taken at the Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department office, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Between May 15 and September 15, reservations will be taken at the Wylie Park Campground daily be- tween 10 a.m. and 9 p.m.

The campground is located in a beautiful 25-acre city park that has tennis courts, a basketball court, horseshoe courts, playgrounds and picnic facilities. There are 15 campsites with electricity at each site. Modern shower and restroom facilities and a dumping station are also available.
