The Aberdeen Police department is proud to have an officer that is a certified Project 8 car seat technician. South Dakota’s Project 8 program distributes infant, toddler and booster seats to income eligible families across South Dakota as well as those who have children with special needs. The Aberdeen Police Department’s Project 8 car seat technician helps educate parents about car seats and assists in the proper installation of each seat. He also helps parents practice their new car seat installation skills.
