Explorer’s Program

History of the Program

Aberdeen Fire Rescue personnel created an Explorer Program in 2008 for young adults who are interested in pursuing a career in either firefighting or emergency medical services.

Purpose

The Explorer Program provides with basic knowledge and tools to decide if this is the right career path for them.

Explorers work closely and safely with Aberdeen Fire Rescue personnel. Explorers assist with community events and attend trainings every other Wednesday from 6:00pm - 9:00pm.
