Submitting an Application
To be considered for one of the posted positions, an
application for employment must be completed and returned to the Human Resource Department no later than 5:00 pm on the closing date indicated. A detailed resume may be submitted if you wish, but it is not required.
Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT & Police Officer Applications
Applications for
Firefighter/Paramedic/EMT and
Police Officer positions are accepted continuously for competitive examinations to establish eligibility lists for future hiring.
Drug-Free Workplace Screenings
The City of Aberdeen complies with the Drug-Free Workplace Act. A pre-employment drug screen is required prior to employment in any posted city position and a confirmed positive drug screen will deny city employment for a period of six months.
