Utilities

Responsibilities

The Public Works Utility Division maintains all the water mains, sanitary sewer mains, and storm sewer mains within the City of Aberdeen. This also includes fire hydrants, manholes, and inlets.

Property owners are responsible for the private water service and sanitary sewer services from the point where the services are tapped into the water or sanitary sewer main all the way into the home.

Property owners now have an opportunity to purchase Service line warranty coverage for their Water and/or Sewer Service lines.  North American Warranty, Inc. was selected to work with City residents for this option. To learn more about the water line or sewer line warranty programs or to enroll, simply call     1-844-257-8795, Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm to speak with them directly.
