BOYS & GIRLS HOCKEY

The Aberdeen Hockey Association (AHA) is dedicated to providing the opportunity for boys and girls, ages 5-19, to participate in ice hockey. The hockey program is designed to provide a graduated learning experience. Maximum participation for each child is designed into the program with special rules for games. AHA and Aberdeen are fortunate to have two sheets of indoor ice during the hockey season, which allows for additional convenience and flexibility in scheduling compared to many other associations.

The hockey season begins in November and ends in February. Schedules will be available after registration. Start and end times of the season will vary by level. AHA has equipment packages (including helmets, gloves, shin guards, elbow pads, and breezers) for the younger ages for a nominal rental fee. Other items can be rented from Dakota Outdoors or purchased from Dakota Outdoors or Dunham’s. Skating lessons through the Parks and Recreation Lesson Program will be provided for free for first time registrants and are available to all others that are interested. For more information regarding registration fees and other hockey details go to the Aberdeen Hockey Association website at www.aberdeenhockey.com. *All ages determined as of July 1.
