Learn-to-Swim Program

About the Program

The American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression, and is designed to give students a positive learning experience.

Six levels of the Learn-to-Swim program instruction help swimmers of all ages and varying abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills:
 Otters: Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills Advanced Beginner: Level 4 - Stroke Improvement 
 Seals: Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills  Intermediates: Level 5 - Stroke Refinement
 Whales: Level 3 - Stroke Development  Swimmers: Level 6 - Swimming and Skill Proficiency
