Learn-to-Swim Program

About the Program


The American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression, and is designed to give students a positive learning experience.

Six levels of the Learn-to-Swim program instruction help swimmers of all ages and varying abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills:
 Otters: Level 1 - Introduction to Water Skills Advanced Beginner: Level 4 - Stroke Improvement 
 Seals: Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills  Intermediates: Level 5 - Stroke Refinement
 Whales: Level 3 - Stroke Development  Swimmers: Level 6 - Swimming and Skill Proficiency

Swim Lesson Schedule - 2021


 Schedule  
 Date: Monday through Thursday
 Session A: June 14 - July 1
 Fee: $25.00 per youth swim lesson  Session B: July 6 - 22
 Enrollment: 4 minimum / 8 maximum per session  Session C: July 26 - August 12

 Swim Lesson Times
 9:00 - 9:45 a.m.: Otters, Seals, Whales, and Advanced Beginners
 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.: Otters, Seals, Whales, Advanced Beginners, Intermediates, and Swimmers
 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.: Otters, Seals, Whales, Advanced Beginners, Intermediates, and Swimmers
 7:00 - 7:45 p.m.: Seals, Whales, Advanced Beginners, and Intermediates (Sessions A & C only)
