Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. BEGINNING WATERCOLOR

Learn the basics of acrylic pour painting to create your own unique art pieces. This fun and experimental class will learn a recipe for mixing paint to desired thickness as well as explore the flip cup, a ring pour, and traveling pour techniques. Ages 14 and up.

Create a set of unique and personalized Christmas Ball Ornaments, for yourself or as a gift, using acrylic pour techniques. Participants will go over the basics of mixing paint and pour painting techniques before moving onto the creation of your own beautiful and unique set of “poured” ornaments. Ages 14 and up.

WRITING

CREATIVE WRITING FOR TEENS
Whether you want to write short stories, poetry, or a novel, you're in the right place. Our class will focus on the basics of creative writing and all of the tricks of the trade. The first three weeks of class will consist of learning about the various types of creative writing and discovering where your talents lie. During the two week break you will develop a work in progress in your chosen medium and the last three weeks of the session will be spent editing and polishing your pieces. The instructor will be available over email/chat during the two week break to help with any questions you might have. The Monday after our session we will have an optional showcase/reading where you can present your work to family and friends like the professional writers do. Ages 12-18

BEGINNING FICTION WRITING
If you have a work in progress or an idea for a novel, or if novel writing is something you've always wanted to do but you don't know how to start, come join us for a class in Beginning Novel Writing. We will spend the first three weeks learning the basics behind getting your story out of your head and onto your paper and you will spend your two-week break developing a work in progress. The last three weeks of class will be spent editing and polishing your work and learning how to move forward with your writing process. At the end of our class we will have an optional reading /showcase where you can show off your work to family and friends. Ages 18 and up.
