Registration Begins Tuesday, January 3 at 8:00 a.m.

Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. LOOM WEAVING
The ARCC now offers a variety of classes to teach how to weave on harness looms. Choose the right class based on your weaving ability! Classes run concurrently, afternoon or evening sessions. Ages 18 and up.

FALL/WINTER EXTENDED WEAVING
For weaving students who were enrolled in 2022 Fall/Winter classes and need extra time to complete their projects, or for any student who wants a head start for the Winter/Spring weaving classes. Ages 18 and up.

LOOM WEAVING
Learn several aspects of weaving and setting up a multiple harness loom from warp calculations to fully dressing it. Each student will have a loom to set up and work on. Classes range from Beginning Weaving; Advanced Beginning Weaving; to Individual Study; Beginning students will weave a small hand towel. Advanced Beginning Students will weave a small table runner. Individual Study projects depend on what the student wishes to learn and weave. There is a material fee of $20 or more depending on project chosen payable to the instructor. The ARCC has 15 looms available for students, but each session is limited to 4 students.

OPEN WEAVING STUDIO
The weaving studio will be open during off class times for your own personal project on one of the ARCC’s looms. Fees include of use of a loom not being used for classes and any of the ARCC’s weaving equipment in the studio. The weaving studio will be closed to open studio participants when ARCC classes. Open weaving studio participants MUST schedule an appointment for an initial orientation prior to working in the studio. Participants will also have to provide their own supplies which may include yarn, scissors, and any other supplies necessary to complete their project. No instruction will be available during open studio time.

NEW! 2-DIMENSIONAL WOOL PAINTING: FULL MOON FOREST
Create a beautiful 2D wool painting with fiber artist, Melony Rae. Using Needle felting techniques, you will learn how to make a painting with wool and other fibers to create a shadowy forest scene complete with a full moon shing through the naked branches of the trees. Ages 16 and up.

NEW! NEEDLE FELTED GOLDFISH
Join artist, Melony Rae, for a fun and colorful introduction to needle felting. You will learn how to use felting needles and wool to create colorful goldfish with tons of character!

Quilt Guilds
The Aberdeen Quilt Guild meets the third Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the ARCC. The Candlelight Quilt Guild meets the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The Aberdeen Modern Quilt Guild meets the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings are open to anyone interested in quilting. Local quilters meet to share old and new techniques in cutting, piecing, color selections, and quilting by hand or machine. Demonstrations held monthly.
