Summer Music Classes
Registration Information
Programs are filled on a first-pay, first-served basis, preregistration by the published deadline is required. Payment can be made by credit or debit card by phone or by check or cash in person. Online Registration also available. All classes are subject to 6.5% sales tax. Please call the Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center for more information at 626-7081.
Registration for Summer Programs begins on Tuesday, May 2, 7:00 a.m.
MUSIC CAMP – PRESCHOOL INSTRUMENT EXPLORERS
Students will sing songs, learn basic musical terms and ideas, in addition to learning about different types of instruments. (Preschool explorers must have reached minimum age of 3 by May 1 and must be able to use the toilet unassisted.)
Ages 3 – 4.

MUSIC CAMP – INSTRUMENT EXPLORERS

MUSIC CAMP – RECORDER KARATE
Learn how to play this timeless instrument in the comfort of a small group. Beginning with basic note reading, fingering, and simple songs. Students will receive colored “Karate Belts” for each level they master.
Grades 2 – 4.

MUSIC CAMP – UKULELE
An introduction to playing the Ukulele. Learn some simple single string melodies, riffs, and a handful of chords so you can strum some of your favorite songs. Come play along and develop some awesome uke skills.

MUSIC CAMP – MUSIC PRODUCTION
This 4-day music camp is an introduction to music production and audio engineering. Camp goers will learn songwriting, making beats, recording, and editing music using a basic Digital Audio Workstation (DAWs). Also covering essential terminology, basic gear needed and how to use it.
Grades 5 – 12.
