  1. Tween/Teen Take and Make Kits - Bubble Science

    We will be offering a variety of take and make programs in January through April for those in 3rd through 12th grades. There will be kits available for pick up at the library in the Children’s Room at 10:00AM. We have a limited number of kits and will be a first come first served. No registration required.

  2. Winter Reading Program: American Road Trip

    January 24, 2021, 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM

    Read books set in the Midwest, Northeast, South, and West. Download Beanstack, the library reading app, or participate using library regional map. Reading program begins 1/1/21 and concludes 3/31/21. Prizes awarded weekly. To download app visit https://aberdeen.beanstack.org. If you have used the app for the summer reading program, you can just sign in and register for the American Road Trip Challenge. Never used the app before, no problem. Create your free account and sign in. It’s that easy. Your information is NOT shared with any third party vendors. Reading lists are provided in the app to help you get started. Non-app option (paper) is available. Read books from any of the four regions indicated on map to be picked up at the library. Complete the corresponding tag, tear it off and bring it into the library and drop it into the wooden box labeled American Road Trip Challenge. Each tag will be entered into the weekly and final prize drawings.

  4. Virtual Story Time

    January 26, 2021, 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

    Children will be introduced to the incredible world of language and books through stories, songs, activities and more! Topics change weekly and help prepare your child for successful school experiences using the early literacy components. We will continue to have special guests and speakers. Story time generally lasts about 30 minutes. No registration required. You can watch story time on our Facebook page @publiclibraryaberdeensd and YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWRJBImIYuTjMSF8NjNgGIw. Story time will be posted by 10:00AM.

  5. Zoom - Tween/Teen Coloring Club (3rd-12th Grades)

    January 26, 2021, 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM

    You will need to register for this program so we can send you the invitation for Zoom and let you know when to pick up your stack of coloring sheets in the Children’s Room. The club will meet once a month and you can share with everyone your progress on your pages and chat about books you recently read and books you would recommend.
