In Wee/Pre Discovery, the children stay with the same teacher all day. Each teacher will take the children through a variety of activities related to the week’s theme.

Morning sessions meet 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Noon). Afternoon sessions meet 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Because of limited staffing time, children should be dropped off no more than 15 minutes early for the sessions and no later than 15 minutes after the session ends.
Yes, for the Wee/Pre Discovery Children. Due to the layout of the building and safety factors, we would like parents/adults to come into the building to pick up.
Yes. Each week revolves around a particular theme. There may be painting, music, and games, but there are variations on the approach to the projects.
No. Discovery and Wee / Pre-Discovery meet only Mondays through Thursdays while classes are in session.
Children must have reached the minimum age of 3 by May 1 and must be able to use the toilet unassisted. The child may use pull-ups, however, in case of an accident, a parent will be notified to pick up the child.
Children should come dressed to get messy. Some of the project materials might stain clothing. On particularly sunny days, it might be a good idea to wear sunscreen. Children should wear shoes to play in, tennis shoes or closed toed sandals with heel strap (no flip flops).
For the 2020 Discovery Sessions, Guests will not be allowed due to smaller class sizes.
Please call ahead to ask permission. If there is room in the session, generally the visitor may attend.
* There is a $5.00 fee for the visiting child per day.
Before we allow a child to leave unattended from the program, we will need a signed permission slip from the parent or guardian.
For 2020 snacks will not be allowed in any ARCC Programs. Water may be sent in a resealable container that is clearly marked with the child’s name.
For Discovery age children, no. Children between the first grade and sixth grades usually can hold out for three hours without a snack. For children in Pre/Wee Discovery it would be best to send a small healthy snack, in a well-marked bag/container. Drinks must be in a resealable container, and well-marked with the child’s name.
*Snacks must be free of peanuts, or tree nuts, for the safety of other students.
